Maintenance-free Radial Spherical Plain Bearings
Maintenance-free radial rod ends have special gliding layers and are best-known for their near-frictionlessness. These kinds of bearings are used whenever the applications have demanding requirements for low maintenance and long life with little or no lubrication, because the use of steel on steel bearings are not practical or not possible. Above all, they are designed for applications with high, one-sided forces. For alternating or two-sided forces, this bearing has its limitations. Maintenance-free radial spherical plain bearings are available with the following slide pairings:
– Slide pairing Hard-chromed/PTFE
– Slide pairing Steel/PTFE Fabric
In addition to roller bearing steel, this bearing is available in stainless steel, which can be used in oxidation and corrosion environments.
